McLean Sheperd
French Hillside
acrylic on cardboard
5 x 22"
It was a really hot day in the south of France. I wanted to sit in the fields and paint the fields of sunflowers, but, having run out of canvas, I found myself rummaging the trash to find this cardboard box. The reason I like to paint on trash is that, when the preciousness of art is taken away, it feels more like play and beautiful things can happen when you're doing it for pure pleasure.
